Treating Age Spots with Solvaderm

Growing older isn’t necessarily a bad thing but showing signs of aging can be. Age spots (also known as sun spots) are flat spots on the skin that are usually black or brown and they vary in size. They are most prominent on the hands, neck, face and arms as those areas are exposed to the sun the most. No one is immune to age spots, but prevention is important. Anyone can have age spots but it is usually people over 40 who tend to show symptoms of age spots. Age spots should not be confused with freckles which can happen at any age. Prevention and treatment can be done with the right daily habits and skin care products like Solvaderm’s full line of excellent skin care items.

The number one cause of age spots is unprotected sun exposure. The sun’s damaging UV rays can lead to sun spots. Tanning beds and booths will provide the same effects.

Even if you protect your skin, simple aging and genetics can play a role in whether or not you will suffer from age spots. You don’t have to treat sun spots because they normally do not amount to anything serious however you may not be comfortable with the look of them.

The prevention of age spots is not difficult and as long as you follow some simple steps you should see less sun spots forming. Be sure to protect your skin from the sun by either covering it with hats and sunglasses but also using sunscreen. Select an SPF of at least 15 but shoot for 30 to help keep sun spots from forming. You should always avoid the sun during the middle of the day which is when the sun’s rays are at their most damaging.

While you can prevent further age spots easily, what about the ones you already have? Usually, treatment for age spots is not necessary as they do not lead to anything serious. Typically, people are not comfortable living with this condition which prompts them to seek help. Treatment is available and it is relatively easy to help lessen the appearance of age spots. You should discuss treatment options with your dermatologist or look into product lines that are recommended by skin care professionals.

Some treatment options include chemical peels that are performed by your doctor as well as cryotherapy or laser treatments which are all reliable ways of treating age spots. Bleaching lotions are also recommended to help reduce the appearance of sun spots.  Solvaderm has a whole line of products designed to help diminish those dark spots on your hands and face1. Their Rejuvoderm cleanser, Dermaxsol moisturizer, and Glowpeel serum are just a few of the products designed to help repair your skin and help it look its best.

Everyone will suffer from age spots at one point in time during their lives but you can prevent them from forming or getting worse by using Solvaderm products and protecting your skin each and every day with sunscreen. Trust your skin to a brand that puts research first.
